Buxar : Buxar unit of the Congress observed ‘Vishwasghat Diwas’ on May 27, 2018, to protest what it called ‘anti-people’ policies of the BJP led NDA government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The congress workers led by their district vice president Bajrangi Mishra and district president, woman cell, Sandhna Pandey, resorted to rickshaw riding to protest the soaring  prices of petrol and diesel. The Congress leaders also staged a day long dharana at Bhagat Singh Park. They lashed out at the central government for taking people for a ride.

They said the central government is patting its back after completion four years while people are reeling under rising prices of essential commodities. The Congress workers said that the people were feeling cheated as PM Modi ha failed to fulfil his major poll promises including jobs to two crore youth per annum, and bringing black money stashed in foreign banks. The Modi government instead went for demonetisation pushing the economy of the country in disarray.
