Carlos Brathwaite scored 21 in 11 balls hitting 3 sixes while opener Shikhar Dhawan made 26 in 25 ball hitting 2 fours and a six. Dhawan and Williamson were involved in a 51 run partnership for the second wicket. Allrounder Shakib Al Hasan scored 23 in 15 ball hitting 2 fours and a six. Deepak Hooda was out for 3 while opener and wicketkeeper Srivats Goswamy was run out for 5. CSK had won the toss but opted to bowl.
