40 lakh saplings planted in Sitamarhi dist. on 69th Van Mahotsav

Sitamarhi : Sitamarhi district on August 10, 2018, added a new feather to its cap on the occasion of 69th Van Mahotsav as more than 40 lakh plant saplings were planted in the district under the leadership of DM Dr Ranjeet Kumar Singh.

People’s representatives, SSB personnel, villagers, farmers, intellectuals, college and school students participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. The saplings included fruit bearing, wood value and fast growing pro- environmental ones. The main function was organised at SSB camp Misraulia and on Dumra stadium premises.
The DM said that water conservation and protection of environment are the main ingredients of future safety for human being. “We must nurture good habits of tree plantation. ‘Vriksha Lagayen Jivan Bachayen.” he added.
