Ara : Additional District and Session Judge (ADJ) I, Ara, Ramesh Chandra Dwiwedi on September 14, 2018, framed charges against 20 persons under the SC/ST Act after the police recently submitted charge- sheet against them in connection with disrobing and parading naked a woman through the street at Bihia in Bhojpur district on August 20, 2018.
Police had filed charge- sheet against 22 persons declaring one of them absconder and another minor. The court framed charges against 20 persons and sent the matter of a minor accused to the Juvenile court.
An unruly mob went on rampage and indulged in arson after body of a youth Bimlesh Sah alias Chhotu Sah, son of Kanesh Kanu of village Damodarpur under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district, was found on the railway track at Bihia railway station under Danapur Division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, behind a red light area also known as Dafali locality adjacent to the Bihia railway station on August 20, 2018. The mob also caught a middle -age woman said to be a dancer, disrobed and thrashed her and also paraded her naked through the street of Bihia.
