Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at Neknam Tola under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district and arrested two liquor smugglers with two bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and seized a Maruti Car. Police also recovered two countrymade pistols and 6 live cartridges from the possession of the arrested smugglers.

The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Haridwar Singh, son of Jai Kisshor Singh, and Vikas Kumar Singh, son of Sushil Singh, of Neknam Tola under Barhara police station. Later, police sent them to Ara jail after lodging a named FIR against them under the Prohibition & Excise Act on September 20, 2018.  Chhote Singh, younger brother of Vikas Kumar Singh, had been jailed in 2017 in connection with liquor smuggling.

SDPO Pankaj Kumar said that police arrested two liquor smugglers Bikas Kumar Singh and Haridwar Singh when they were moving on a Maruti Car. On their revelation, police conducted raid at the house of Rocky Singh at Bakhorapur under Barhara police station and seized two countrymade pistols and 6 live cartridges though Rocky Singh escaped from the scene.
