Dhanbad ( Jharkhand) :  Dhanbad based Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), which on December 6, 2018,  nabbed Mukesh Kumar, stenographer cum clerk of Bokaro Deputy Commissioner (DC) accepting Rs 70,000 as bribe, has so far detected unaccounted money worth over Rs 15 lakh including Rs 4.65 lakh cash kept at his house. The ACB sleuths after checking bank accounts found Rs 10.65 lakh in Mukesh Kumar’s account besides documents related to other investments .

As per ACB SP Sudarshan Mandal, his men  have found several other indiscriminating documents including investment made in real estate and other immovable property which is being  verified but clearly pointing out that Mukesh had in a very short time amassed huge property through illegal means. “ We are still investigating. Rs 4.65 lakh  cash has been seized from his home while his bank accounts show deposit of more than Rs 10.65 lakh besides other investments,” stated the SP.

It may be mentioned here that health department clerk Mukesh Kumar, who got job in health department on compassionate ground, later managed to get posting at Bokaro DC office and later even took over charge of Nazir in supply department.

The complainant in this case Kamal Prasad, a  supply department contractor, had lodged a complaint with the ACB alleging that Mukesh was demanding six percent commission to get his pending bill of Rs 75 lakh cleared.
