Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge I, Ara, Ramesh Chandra Dwiwedi on January 22, 2019, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment one Veer Bahadur Kushwaha for outraging the modesty of a 10 year old girl in 2017. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 on the convict.
Special APP Saroj Kumari said that Veer Bahadur Kushwaha, resident of a village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district, caught a 10 year old girl when she had gone to graze her goats in the field and took her to a secluded place and outraged her modesty. The mother of the girl had lodged a named FIR with Jagdishpur police station in this connection. Police got the girl examined at Sadar Hospital, Sra, and also got her statement recorded in the court under Section 164 of CrPC.
