Patna : State Vigilance Investigation Bureau sleuths headed by DSP Mohammad Jamiruddin on November 30, 2018, arrested an ASI posted at Giriak police station (PS) in Nalanda district Sunil Kumar Mandal accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from one Sunil Kumar, a resident of village Adampur. The Vigilance Bureau sleuths also seized another Rs 18,190 cash from the possession of ASI Mandal, who was arrested from Giriak police station premises.
Sunil Kumar had earlier lodged a complaint with Vigilance Investigation Bureau alleging that ASO Mandal was demanding Rs 5,000 from him to send a report to the court. During verification, the Vigilance Bureau found the allegation true and laid a trap to arrest ASO Mandal. The Vigilance Bureau had registered a case in this connection on November 29, 2018.
