Australia 191/7 in first innings on day 2 against India in Adelaide test

Patna : Australia were 191/7 in 88 overs at stumps on day 2 in their first innings in the first test against India at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Australia, on December 7, 2018, with Travis Head batting on 61 in 149 balls with 6 fours and Mitchell Starc batting on 8 with a four. Australia trail by 50 runs.

Openers Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris were out for zero and 26 respectively to Ishant Sharma and Ravichandra Ashwin respectively. Usman Khwaja fell to Ashwin for 28 in 125 balls with 1 four. Shaun Marsh also fell to Ashwin for 2 while Peter Handscomb fell to Jasprit Bumrah for 34 in 93 balls with 5 fours.

Captain and wicketkeeper Tim Paine fell to fast bowler Ishant Sharma for 5 while Pat Cummins fell to Bumrah for 10. Tarvis Head added 50 runs with Cummins for the 7th wicket. Australia had lost their 6th wicket with 127 runs on board. For India, Ashwin took 3/50, Ishant Sharma 2/31, and Jasprit Bumrah 2/34.

Earliar, resuming at their overnight score of 250/9, India were all out for the same score in 88 overs with Josh Hazlewood taking the wicket of Mohammad Shami for 6 in the first over of the day itself. Hazlewood took 3/52 while Pat Cummins took 2/49, and Mitchell Starc 2/63. Spinner Nathan Lyon took 2/88.
