Bhojpur police arrest 5 persons for printing fake notes, woman was mastermind

Kumar Rajiv Nayan

Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested five persons including three women along with a counterfeit note printing machine and also seized fake notes of 100, 200 and 500 denomination from village Jamuao under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district on January 10, 2019.

The arrested persons were identified as Guddu Kumar, son of Daroga Singh of village Badiha, Nagendra Sigh of village Jamuao  under Sandesh police station along with his wife Rekha Devi and two daughters-in-law : Devanti Devi and Neha Devi. The arrested persons allegedly printed fake notes and circulated them in the market. They also printed fake notes on demand.

SDPO,  Pankaj Kumar, on January 11, 2019, said that the Bhojpur SP got information that fake notes were being printed at Jamuao village under Sandesh police station. The SP immediately formed a police team under the SDPO and ordered it to conduct raid and arrest the miscreants. Police, on the direction of the SP, conducted raids at Jamuao village and arrested five persons including three women along with two counterfeit note machines, three ink, paper, gel pens, 3,000 fake notes and Rs 33,000 cash.

The SDPO said that the miscreants were operating in the area dealing in the fake note business for the last three months and had already circulated fake notes of the face value of worth about Rs 6 lakh in the market at about 70% commission and this was their second tender but due to alertness of police, their bid to print and circulate fake notes this time foiled. He stated that police are interrogating them to know more about their syndicate and members of the gang. He said that the police are still conducting raids at different places to arrest the remaining members of the gang.

The SDPO said Devnti Devi is allegedly the mastermind of the gang and the others assisted her. The gang is linked with Pintu Singh of Patna and all the arrested persons confessed their involvement in printing of fake notes. They printed the fake notes so precisely that it was very much difficult to differentiate between original and fake notes.

The SDPO stated that Rahul Sigh, son of Nagendra Singh is languishing in Ara jail for the last seven months in connection with loot, vehicle lifting and other criminal cases while Guddu Kumar had come out of the jail last month. He said that Rahul Singh operated from behind the bar and Guddu Kumar helped him.

The SDPO revealed that Pintu Singh had struck a deal at Rs 60,000 and the payment was to be made on January 11, 2019, and so the miscreants were overnight to complete the assignment. He added the fake notes are mainly circulated in rural areas and also in Patna. Pintu Singh of Patna is expert in printing of fake notes and he had imparted training to Devanti Devi.

The SDPO revealed that Devanti Devi decoyed and looted valuables from innocent persons by promising to double their money or valuables and added Nagendra Singh is a quack.
