Ara : Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar taken serious note of the complaint of Mukhia, Thakuri Panchayat under Charpokhari block, Uma Devi against Station House Officer (SHO), Charpokhari police station PS), and ordered an inquiry into it.

Uma Devi, Mukhia, Thakuri Panchayat, had complained to the Bhojpur DM, SP and other officials of Bhojpur district against  Station House Officer, Charpokhari police station, charging him with threatening her with dire consequences if she did not canvass in favour of candidate of a particular political party.

Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar on April 21, 2019, said that the Ara DSP has been directed to inquire into the allegation. He said that the DSP went to Thakuri Panchayat on April 20, 2019, and talked to persons of different categories including the Mukhia and the SHO and would submit his report within a day or two. The SP said that if the complaint was found true, stern action would be taken against the SHO and if it was found wrong, action would also be taken against the Mukhia.

Uma Devi, in her complaint lodged with the SP, DM, SDO, BDO, and CO, had alleged that the SHO, Charpokhari police station, came to her on April 18, 2019, and asked her to canvass in favour of  candidate of a particular political party failing which he would implicate her in false cases. She also alleged that the SHO called her husband on mobile to the police station with all the registers and documents of welfare schemes. The SHO, however, has  refuted all the charges.
