Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot dead a trainee Bihar Education Service Officer, Kaimur, Sanjay Singh, near Agraa canal under Chainpur police station in Kaimur district on October 19, 2018.
Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Bhabhua, for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Chainpur police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. The reason behind the murder is still to be ascertained.
The irate villagers blocked Bhabhua-Chainpur main road after the incident paralysing the movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the miscreant at the earliest. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the officials.
SHO, Chainpur police station, said that Sanjay Singh, 32, of village Baburhani as was selected District Education Officer through Bihar Public Service Commission and had gone to Patna for training. On October 19, 2018, he got down from the train at Bhabhua and was returning home with his brother on a motorcycle. When he reached near Agraa canal under Chainpur police station, some unidentified miscreants waylaid them and pumped three bullets into Sanjay Singh’s body and escaped. His brother rushed him to Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
