Ara : A speeding motorcycle dashed a school student Akhilesh Kumar, 12, son of Ram Chandra Singh of village Kumhaila under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district, near Charpokhari Bazaar injuring him seriously on February 7, 2019. He was rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctors referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of his critical condition.

SHO, Charpokhari police station, said that Akhilesh Kumar was going to market to buy some ‘samosa’ when a speeding motorcycle dashed and injured him. He is a student of class VI at Middle School, Kumhaila, where his mother is a cook. His father is a daily wage earner. Although the doctors referred him to PMCH, the family members could not take him there due to strike by the drivers of Ambulance. The private ambulance drivers were demanding exorbitant fares which his parents were unable to pay and the injured boy is yet to be taken to PMCH.
