Creation of “University Administrative Service” & ” University Finance Service” likely

Patna :  Governor cum Chancellor of state universities Lalji Tandon has initiated steps for creation of  “University Administrative Service” and  “University Finance Service” to streamline the administration and financial functioning of the universities.

On the direction of Governor Lalji Tandon, his Principal Secretary held a high level meeting in this connection with Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Additional Secretary, Finance Department, Director, Higher Education, Law Secretary, and senior officials of Governor’s secretariat at Raj Bhavan on December 6, 2018. The meeting discussed the creation of  ” University Administrative Service” and ” University Finance Service”. The Raj Bhavan would request the Education Department to take steps for creation of posts and related hierarchy. As of now, retired officers are being appointed at Registrar, Financial Advisor, and Finance Officers in state universities.

The Governor has also directed his Principal Secretary to review functioning of each university at Raj Bhavan one by one. The functioning of Munger University would be reviewed on December 7. It will be first review meeting of newly established Munger University. The Governor Secretariat has also transferred 18 Assistants, Clerks, and Computer Operators.
