Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Women – a perfect blend of grace, strength, patience and perseverance. Come, let’s celebrate this vibrant sprit of Womanhood,  said Director & Principal, DPS, Bokaro, Jharkhand, Dr Hemlata S Mohan.

Words of appreciation and encouragement thrilled the students of DPS Bokaro in the Primary Wing during the Special Assembly and International Women’s’ Day celebration here on March 8, 2019.

During the Special Assembly, the winners of the Best Classes for the session 2018-19 were declared. They included Nursery- B, Prep- E, Class 1D, Class 2B, 2C, 3A, 4A and 5C in their respective groups. Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Director & Principal, DPS, Bokaro, unveiled the creative magazines prepared by different departments of the school.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Mohan remarked that this occasion is special as it is the ‘International Women’s Day’ and also the culmination of the session. She said that and one of the most novel one is through the assemblies.

Appreciating the performances including the songs and the special fashion show that showcased the qualities of a woman presented by the students, she said it was a feast to the eyes. Talking about women, Dr Mohane said, “Women is a perfect blend of grace, strength, patience and perseverance.” She urged everyone to celebrate the vibrant spirit of Womanhood. Dr Mohan also appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers and the entire team for making the occasion a grand success. She gave her best wishes to all the teachers and staff members on International Women’s Day.

She remarked that for the students of Class V, the occasion is special as soon they would be graduating to the Senior Wing where they would get abundant opportunities to grow holistically.

The team DPS Bokaro crowned Dr Mohan as an epitome of empowered women and for her contributions in nurturing children paving paths in education.

Head Boy Aarav Yash, Harshit Kumar Jha and Head Girl Antara expressed their gratitude towards the teachers for their invaluable contributions in making them good human beings and showing them the right direction. The programme was anchored by Lokesh Nandan, Avya along with Vineeta Sinha and Anita Singh.

Meenakshi Bhattacharjee delivered a special message to the students of Class V. During the programme, Head Teacher and Vice Principal P Shailaja Jayakumar, Headmistress Sunita Bhardwaj along with the students were also present.
