Patna : World No 48 Dusan Lajovic, 28, Serbia, entered the final of Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Monaco, beating World No 14 Daniil Medvedev, 23, Russia, in straight sets in the semi-finals. Lajovic beat Medvedev  7-5, 6-1 at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. Both the players were playing in semi-finals of an ATP Masters Tournament for the first time. Medvedev had defeated World No 1 and top seed Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals on April 19, 2019.

Lajovic broke Medvedev’s service 6 times in the match while the latter broke his service twice. Both the players committed 3 double faults each in the match. Lajovic won 10 games in a row in the match to 3 by Medvedev. Lajovic won 38 service points to 32 by Medvedev.
