Patna : Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 7 wickets in the 15th match of IPL 2018 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on April 18 night. Chasing a target of 161 to win the match, the KKR scored 163/3 in 18.5 overs with captain and wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik scoring an unbeaten 42 in 23 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes and Nitish Rana an unbeaten 34 in 27 balls with 2 fours and a six.
Opener Sunil Narine was run out for 35 in 25 balls with 5 fours and a six while his partner Chris Lynn was out without scoring. Robin Uthappa made 48 in 36 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. For RR, Krishnappa Gowtham took 2/23 in 4 overs.
The RR had scored 160/8 in 20 overs with Captain and opener Ajinkya Rahane scoring 36 in 19 balls with 5 fours and a six and his opening partner D’ Arcy Short scoring 44 in 43 balls with 5 fours and a six. Sanju Samson was out for 7 while Ben Stokes, England, scored 14. Wicketkeeper Jos Buttler remained not out on 24.
For KKR, part time bowler Nitish Rana took 2/11 in 2 overs taking the wickets of both Rahane and D’ Short. Pacer Tom Curran took 2/19 in 2 overs. Piyush Chawla, Kuldip Yadav, and S Mavi took one wicket each. Dhawal Kulkarni was run out.
