Patna : Former Minister in Grand Alliance Government Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and former CM Rabri Devi, was engaged to Aishwarya Rai, daughter of former Bihar minister Chandrika Rai at Patna on April 18, 2018. Chandrika is an RJD MLA from Parsa in Saran district.
Aishwarya Rai is the granddaughter of former Bihar CM Daroga Prasad Rai, who briefly served as a Congress CM in 1970. Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai exchanged rings at a posh Patna hotel in presence of family members and friends.The marriage ceremony is scheduled for May 12, 2018,
Lalu, who is in jail in connection with fodder scam cases and currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS, could not attend the function.
