Ara : A teenage mahadalit girl was gangraped for two days on March 7 & 8, 2018, under Chauri police station area in Bhojpur district by three persons. An FIR was lodged with Chauri police station under Piro Sub- Division in this connection and police arrested all the three accused on March 9, 2018, evening.
The arrested accused were identified as Veer Bahadur Singh of village Kachchhawa in Rohtas district, Akhilesh Kumar alias Bhanta of village Chhatarpur under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district and Mantosh Kumar of village Nisharpura in Patna district. The police arrested them from Chhatrapura village under Sahar police station. Police brought the girl to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before the court on March 10, 2018, to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC.
SHO, Chauri police station, Dharm Prakash said that three persons went to Suraj Ram of village Andhari under Chauri police station on March 7, 2018, and took his wife and teenage daughter with them on a three- wheeler towards Sahar with a promise of get them the fund under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY). They left the mother at village Khaira saying that some papers were missing and they would return in a few minutes and took away the girl with them.
The miscreants took the girl to Chhatarpur under Sahar police station and gangraped her for two days. Later, the accused left the girl on the outskirt of village Andhari and tried to escape. But, the girl raised an alarm. Hearing her cry, the villagers chased the accused and after thrashing them handed them over to police.
Piro DSP Reshu Krishna is interrogating the accused. The DSP said that police were investigating the matter.
