Patna : Electing to bat after winning the toss, Mumbai Indians (MI) scored a modest 168/5 in 20 overs against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 34th match of IPL-12 on April 18, 2019, night, with openers Rohit Sharma ( captain) and Quinton de Kock (wk) scoring 30 and 35 runs respectively. Rohit and de Kock had added 57 runs for the 1st wicket when the former fell to spinner Amit Mishra for 30 in 22 balls hitting 3 fours and a six.

Ben Cutting fell to spinner Axar Patel for 2 making it 62/2. de Kock was run out for 35 in 27 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes making it 74/3. Suryakumar Yadav was next to go getting out to fast bowler Kagiso Rabada for 26 in 27 balls with 2 fours making it 104/4.

Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya then added 54 runs for the 5th wicket. Hardik fell to Rabada for 32 in 15 balls with 2 fours and 3 huge sixes continuing his blitzkrieg. Krunal remained unbeaten on 37 in 26 balls hitting 5 fours. But, for Hardik Pandya’s hurricane knock MI would have struggled to reach even 145. MI scored 50 runs in the last 3 overs.

Rabada took 2/38 in 4 overs while Amit Mishra and  Axar Patel took one wicket each. Amit Mishra took his 150th IPL wicket in the match.to reach even 145.
