Patna : Bihar Governor Lalji Tandon on October 25, 2018, appointed retired IAS officer Narendra Kumar Sinha and retired IPS officer P K Thakur as the State Information Commissioner, Bihar, under Right to Information Act, 2005.
Sinha, an IAS officer of 1980 batch, retired as Secretary, I&B Ministry, Government of India, on May 31, 2018. Thakur, an IPS officer of 1980 batch, retired as DGP, Bihar, on February 28, 2018. The appointments would be effective from the date of their assuming charge of the new assignments. The General Administration Department (GAD), Bihar Government, issued a notification to this effect on October 25, 2018, itself.
