Patna :  The NDA is likely to announces its candidates from Bihar for the Lok Sabha polls  at the earliest in New Delhi. Talks on allocation of seats among the three NDA constituents in the state: BJP, JD(U), and LJP, have reached final stages.

A meeting of the BJP state election committee chaired by its state president Nityanand Rai, MP, and attended by national general secretary incharge, Bihar, Bhupendra Yadav, among others, was held here on March 14, 2019. The party reiterated its resolve to win the by-elections to Nawada and Dehri assembly segments. The Nawada and Dehri assembly seat had fallen vacant following  disqualification of RJD MLAs Raj Vallabh Yadav and Mohd Iliyas Husain respectively. Raj Vallabh Yadav lost his seat after his conviction in a rape case while Husain was convicted by a CBI court in Ranchi in a Bitumen scam case.

The formula of seat-sharing for the LS polls was announced a few months back in the national capital jointly by BJP president Amit Shah, JD(U) national president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, and LJP founder and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
As per the arrangement, the BJP and the JD(U) will contest 17 seats each while the remaining six would be contested by the LJP.
