One killed, 1 injured in Bhojpur accident

Ara : Akhileshwar Kumar Singh, son of Raghuwar Dayal Singh of village Matiyara under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district was killed while his aunt (bua) was seriously injured when a speeding Pick-Up dashed their bike near Bhagwanpur bridge on Ara – Arwal main road under Pawana police station. The injured was identified as Shashi Prabha. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem and admitted the injured there.

SHO, Pawana police station, said that Akhileshwar Kumar Singh and Shashi Prabha had gone to village Ekwari to distribute Chhath prasad among his relatives there. When they were returning Matiyara, a speeding Pick-Up dashed their bike from behind killing Akhileshwar Kumar Singh on the spot and injuring Shashi Prabha. The Pick-Up driver escaped from the spot with the vehicle.
