Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested two criminals : Rahul Kumar, son of late Brij Bihari Singh, Ward No 8 Ibrahimpur under Piro police station, and Rakesh Kumar alias Chhotu, son of Ram Chela Singh of Piro Ward No 9 near Amba Cinema Hall under Piro police station in Bhojpur district, from Ibrahimpur in the wee hours on January 22, 2019, while hatching plan to commit robbery somewhere.

But, their four other aides : Ravindra Kumar of village Arhaiyadiha under Piro police station, Chhotak Kumar, son of Rampati Singh of village Basatha under Agiao Bazaar police station, Rakesh Kumar of Rajmahaldih under Sikarhatta police station, and Funnu Kumar of Rajmahaldih under Sikarhatta police station, managed to escape from the place.

Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that he got information that some miscreants with firearms had gathered at the house of Daidi Devi of Vishrampur Veda under Sasaram Muffassil police station in Rohtas district, who lived at Bachari under Piro police station in Bhojpur district, and were hatching plan to commit robbery somewhere. He immediately formed a police team under  DSP, Piro, Reshu Krishna, and directed it conduct raid in the area. Police swung into action and conducted raids at the house of Daidi Devi at Bachari in the wee hours on January 22 and arrested Rakesh Kumar alias Chhotu and Rahul Kumar while their four aides Ravindra Kumar, Funnu Kumar, Chhotak Kumar, and Rakesh Kumar escaped from the scene.

The SP said that the miscreants had fired at Priyanshu Mall at Piro Bazaar under Piro police station on January 13, 2019, and demanded rangdari of Rs 6 lakh from the owner of the Mall in the name of  Yadav Gang. He said that the miscreants had looted a Pick-Up van loaded with fish near Devchanda bridge under Piro police station recently.

The SP said that the arrested miscreants confessed that they were committing crime for the bail of an inmate of Ara jail, Amit Yadav, son of Sanjay Yadav of Laherabad. The miscreants had also made murderous attack on SHO, Hasanbazaar Police Outpost, Narendra Kumar near Piro Padav earlier. He said that the police seized two countrymade pistols, four live cartridges, one Bolero, three motorcycles, a Pick-Up van, and a  tractor trolley, all looted. The SP added that the miscreants used these looted vehicles for committing crime.
