Police recover body of teenage boy hanging from tree at Bhojpur village

Ara : Bhojpur police recovered body of a teenage boy hanging from a tree at village Mahatwania under Udwantnagar police station on February 10, 2019, and brought it over to Sadar Hospital, Sra, for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Raviraj alias Kisan, 15, son of Janardan Yadav of village Sasaur in Nalanda district. Police also recovered a bag, a train ticket from Surat to Kiul, dated February 7, 2019, a mobile phone, a diary, and some cloths from the spot.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, Sanjay Kumar Sinha, said that the villagers saw body of a youth hanging from a tree and informed police. Police swung into action and recovered the body. The SHO said that he found the mobile number of boy’s father Janardan Yadav from the diary and called him. Janardan Yadav informed that his son Raviraj alias Kisan had fled away from home five months ago and worked as a labour in Surat in Gujarat but it is not clear as to how he reached Bhojpur.
The SHO said that the police are waiting for post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death and added further action would be taken after arrival of family members. The SHO said that prima facie it appearas to be a case of suicide.
