Patna : World No 79 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Shesar Hiren Rhustavito, Indonesia, on August 12, 2018, beat World No 93 Ajay Jayaram, 30, India, to win the singles title at BWF Vietnam Open 2018, a Super 100 tournament. Rhustavito beat Jayaram 21-14, 21-10 in just 28 minute in the final. Jayaram is making a comeback after injury lay off.
In the women’s section, World No 92 Yeo Jia Min, Singapore, beat World No 37 and 7th seed Han Yue, China, 21-19, 21-19 in 35 minute in the final to win the singles title.
