Sandgren wins ATP Auckland Open title

Patna : World No 63 in ATP rankings Tennys Sandgren, 27, USA, lifted the men’s singles title at Auckland Open also known as ASB Classic, an ATP 250 point event played on hard court, at Auckland, New Zealand, on January 12, 2019, beating World No 93 Cameron Norrie, 23, Great Britain, in the final. Sandgren has won his first ATP singles title.

Sandgren beat Norrie 6-4, 6-2 in the final. Both the players fired 7 Aces each in the match. Both of them also committed two double faults each. But, Sandgren won 4 break points in the match to 1 by Norrie. Sandgren won 41 service points to 34 by Norrie. Sandgren won 3 games in a row in the match while Norrie won 2.
