Patna : Tension prevailed in Gosain Tola under Patliputra Police Station, Patna, after bouncers of a local hotel owner allegedly assaulted some local youth and opened four rounds in the air during immersion of idol of Goddess Sarswati on February 12, 2019, evening.
Some of the eyewitnesses said that a group of youth from Nehru Nagar were on way to immerse the idol of Goddess Saraswati and added that the owner of RD Inn, Gosain Tola, was moving on his four- wheeler with his bouncers. A heated argument took place as there was not adequate space for vehicles to pass. Witnesses said that bouncers assaulted some youth and opened fire in the air. This agitated the locals who reached RD Inn and damaged vehicles there. The bouncers opened four rounds in air in front of local police station.
The locals assembled in front of Patliputra police station demanding action against hotel owner. Shopkeepers downed their shutters in panic. DSP and police force from adjoining police station reached the spot. It may be mentioned here that police had conducted raid at RD Inn last year and allegedly busted sex racket.
