Patna : Two IAS officers of 2005 batch currently on inter-state deputation to Bihar were on January 1, 2018, promoted to the rank of Special Secretary by Bihar Government. The two IAS officers are : Ms Poonam, Additional Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Bihar, of Rajasthan Cadre and Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal, Additional Secretary, Rural Development Department, Bihar, of Maharashtra Cadre.
The two officers were promoted to the Special Secretary rank as their batchmates in their respective state cadres have been promoted to this rank and they too were given Proforma Promotion to Special Secretary rank. The General Administration Department issued a notification to this effect on January 12 itself.
