Muzaffarpur : A resident of Jarangdih under Gaighat Block in Muzaffarpur district Abhinav Kumar Jha, 34, son of Makardhwaj Jha, who was an employee of Agriculture Department in UP and was posted at Land Conservation Office, Siddhartnagar, UP, was kidnapped and shot dead by unidentified criminals on December 14, 2017, at Maharajganj. He was kidnapped while going on duty to his office at Siddharthnagar. The criminals had thrown the body on the road.
His elder brother Prof Sunil Kumar Jha was informed about his murder on telephone on December 14. Abhinav’s body was brought over to his native village on December 15 and cremated. His eldest son Kumar Mangalam, 12, lit the funeral pyre. Abhinav is survive by his parents, widow and two sons. Abhinav was youngest brother of Sunil Kumar Jha.
