Ara : Bhojpur police on October 13, 2018, afternoon, arrested Brajesh Mishra, a key accused in the murder of the then State BJP Vice-President Visheshwar Ojha, 38, on February 16, 2016. Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at village Padsaura under Karnamepur police outpost and arrested Brajesh Mishra who carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.

Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that he got information that Brajesh Mishra had come to village Sonbarsha and so sent a police team under ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar there two days ago. The police team was in the look out of Brajesh Mishra and on October 13 afternoon him from a hotel at Padsaura when he was sitting there.

The SP said that Brajesh Mishra was absconding since the murder of Visheshwar Ojha and Bhojpur police had conducted raids at different places in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh to arrest him but every time he managed to give a slip to them.

The SP said that Brajesh Mishra was wanted in at least half a dozen criminal cases including the murder of Munna Mishra, Mako Ojha, Visheshwar Ojha and Kamal Kishor Mishra and Bihar government had announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 on his head. He said that on September 28, 2018, morning, he along with his associates had killed Kamal Kishor Mishra, an eye witness in the murder of Visheshwar Ojha.Visheshwar Ojha , son of Raj Kishore Ojha ,was shot dead on February 12, 2016, near Karnaepur-Sonbarsha Bazaar under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on way to village Barisawan. 

After the murder of Visheshwar Ojha, a named FIR was lodged against seven persons : Haresh Mishra, Brajesh Mishra, sons of jailed Shivjeet Mishra, Umakant Mishra, son of Janardan Mishra, Tunni Mishra, son of Chadrayug Mishra, Basant Mishra, son of Shaym Bihari Mishra, and two others, all residents of village Sonbarsha under Karnamepur police outpost in Bhojpur district. Visheshwar Ojha had unsuccessfully contested assembly election from Shahpur assembly constituency as BJP candidate in 2015 Bihar Assembly  polls.
