Ara : A youth was killed when a speeding truck dashed his motorcycle from behind near Dhanupura Reliance Petrol Pump on Ara-Patna main road under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district on April 19, 2019, evening.
Police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Guddu Yadav ,19, son of Lal Yadav of village Birampur under Koelwar police station. An FIR has been lodged Ara Town police station in this regard.
SHO, Ara Town police station, said that Shekhar Kumar of village Birampur along with his friend Guddu Yadv of the same village was going to village Belaur under Udwantnagar police station on his motorcycle. At Dharahara under Ara Town police station on Ara-Patna main road, when Shekhar Kumar turned towards Reliance Petrol Pump to take petrol, a speeding truck dashed his bike from behind killing the pillion rider Guddu Yadav on the spot while Shekhar Kumar had a narrow escape. The villagers caught the truck but the driver escaped from the spot. Police seized the truck and are searching for its driver.
